Charles "Chuck" Lowery is an Oceanside native, a graduate of Oceanside High School (Class of 1969 and Mira Costa College. From there he went the School of Business at San Diego State University. He is a local businessman who grew a small bakery into a successful business with nationwide distribution. He sold his business in 2009 to devote himself full time to improving Oceanside.
He understands the need for a prosperous community without sacrificing the things we all love about Oceanside. Improving the City's economic picture is not mutually exclusive of having nice neighborhoods and good services for our citizens.
Lowery is a community leader and hands-on participant in local government. He has served on various City committees and commissions, including the Arts Commission and currently serves as board member of the Oceanside Coastal Neighborhood Association (OCNA). He is a volunteer at KOCT (the local community access television station) and works with Oceanside's schools to fund a proven anti-violence program for our children.
Charles is a family man with a daughter and two grandchildren.He can be counted on when daycare is needed!
Running for City Council is a natural extension of his work in the community and as a businessman. Charles Lowery believes in Community Values and he believes in Valuing the Community. Chuck will be a leader committed to ALL residents without any conflicting interests. He has the time and abilities to lead the City through the problems it is facing. Utilizing his exceptional business skills, Chuck will lead us to the future we all deserve.
